Video sharing site, YouTube, finally announced that they are testing a new theme which was rumoured before. YouTube will allow desktop users to enjoy videos with dark theme like what Twitter has done since last year. YouTube tested the dark theme on users all around the world including Indonesia to get suggestions. They apply the design material which is more beautiful, fun, and intuitive to the users' experience. The purpose of this dark theme is not different from Twitter which is to reduce the light that is too bright which makes the users' eyes tired. Considering that YouTube has millions of watch time, it is obvious that this site gives dark theme to the users. YouTube also explained that the ease of operation becomes one of the three focus on the new design. Consistency and beauty are the two other focus. The design called Polymer is designed to be integrated with other Google platform for example YouTube mobile apps, eventhough it still gives the features that the users like.
