The world was shocked with the news of a one-eyed goat in a village in Assam, India, on May 10. This condition is called cyclopia, marked by the failure of the brain development to separate itself into two hemispheres. As a result, the skull only forms a socket of a single eye. This can be caused by poison accidentally consumed by the mother. Cyclopia often followed by other physical abnormalities.
