Julia Samton, MD, from The Inc Asean.com said that Mediterranean diet can be a way to slow down the process of premature aging, increase cardiovascular health, neurologic, bone health, and even make people live longer. Those who apply this diet mostly eat only fruit, vegetables, seeds, nuts, and olive oil. They get animal protein from fish, eggs, and poultry, not red meat. The study which examined 1300 Mediterranean dieters showed a decrease in C-reactive protein, which triggers inflammation in the body. Even the research shows that this diet can reduce the risk of dementia, improve memory, and thinking power. But Julia Samton also said that diet alone is not enough, it must be balanced with regular exercises and maintain social relationships by interacting with many people, meditating, and thinking positively.
