No one knows when this world will end, but according to Stephen Hawking, in theory, the Earth will be destroyed within 100 years. Therefore, he suggests that humans should immediately search for a new planet if they don't want to be destroyed. Hawking said that the Earth is facing a dangerous phase of natural threats. Some of them have already happened and will go on in the future, for example climate change, asteroid attacks, uncontrolled population growth, and the spread of disease outbreaks. His theory is also presented in the series of documentation titled "Expedition New Earth". In the series, Hawking and scientist Christophe Galfard investigated the connection between astronomy, biology, and rocket technology to make sure that humans can live somewhere other than the Earth. What he said is true. Recently, he works with NASA to build a nano-starship vehicle which can fly to a planet with the speed of light. This mini robot vehicle called "StarChip" was said to reach Alpha Centauri, the nearest star of the solar system, about 4.37 light-years from the Earth. Even so, Hawking can not confirm whether this will be the 'shortcut' to reach Alpha Centauri or not. If this program is successfully executed, the distance of the robot to Aplha Centauri will only take two decades. And later, he will create a bigger vehicle to accomodate humans from the Earth.
