Over the past few decades, humans have scraped dust and soil of Mars for a number of different science reasons, including the search of water on a distant planet. Reasearchers recently have found water, in a planet that isn't included in the solar system. This planet (51 Pegasi B) is located 50 light years from the Earth. Because the distance is very far, it is most likely that humans would never be able to visit the planet at all. Planet 51 Pegasi B is called the Planet "Hot Jupiter". This refers to the planets that orbit closer to the sun than Jupiter in our galaxy and has a very hot surface temperature. This discovery of water on a very long distance is scientifically impressive. This kind of method can be used in the future to help confirm the presence of water on planets that are closer than the Hot Jupiter.
