More than 700 mammals and birds are threatened with extinction due to the climate change. Of those mammals, animals such as primates and marsupials are believed to be the most suffered animals caused by global warming. With the climate change, there are only two animal groups that are advantaged: rats and insectivorous mammals. This is because they have a rapid breeding rate, not too dependent on particular habitats and often live in areas of gaps and holes. So they are more resistant to weather changes. As many as 47% of land mammals and 23% for group of birds at the International Union for Conservation of Nature's Red List are endangered. In addition, birds that live in cold mountain areas are also at risk. According to the report, the population of the species that live in the plateau have small chances to move to the area that is colder to avoid temperature increases.
